May 19th Announcements
1. Class and Club ANNOUNCEMENTS/meetings:
¨ The “Lost & Found” is overflowing….please stop by the Main Office & look for any items or clothing you may be missing. It will be donated to charity @ the end of next week.
¨ A rep. from the VT Air National Guard will be in the lobby on 5/22 from 12-2 to talk with interested students.
¨ Attn. students who will graduate in 2011 or later: The Office of the Governor is looking to appoint a student to the State Board of Education for a 2 year term, beginning 7/1/09. Please see Peg in Guidance for an application & an info sheet about the Board. Deadline for applications to be returned is 5/22.
¨ There is info in Guidance on the Miss VT Teen USA pageant for young women ages 14-18. 6/1 deadline for app. See Peg if you are interested.
¨ Balfour will be in the lobby during lunches on Fri., 5/22 to take class ring orders from interested students.
¨ Important senior dates; June 1st, 6:30 pm, Sr. Banquet @ Sunset Ballroom. June 3rd, 12-2pm, Caps & Gowns handed out in lobby during lunches, cost is $20 ea. Cash or check payable to Balfour accepted. June 11, 3:30-5pm, Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal @ St. Michael’s College, students will assemble at the McCarthy Arts Center, near the Ross Center. June 11, 5:30-8pm, “Senior Family Celebration BBQ” @ SBHS. June 12, 10:00 am, Graduation at the Vincent C. Ross Center, St. Michael’s College, Colchester. Ceremony is open seating to the public, no tickets necessary.
