May 8th Announcements
1. Class and Club ANNOUNCEMENTS/meetings:
¨ The following AP exam will take place on Fri., 5/8: AP European History students will be dismissed from SBHS @ 10:45 to be seated for their AP exam by 11:45. The exam begins promptly @ noon.
¨ The following AP exams will take place Mon., 5/11 : AP Biology students must be seated @ 7:45 am & will take their exam @ 8am. They will return to school by 1pm for afternoon classes. AP Physics B students will be dismissed from SBHS @ the end of Block 3, must be seated for the exam by 11:45, & will take their exam at 12pm noon.
¨ A rep from the Navy will be in the lobby to speak with interested students on Mon., 5/11 @ 12-1:30pm.
¨ Mrs. Davidson’s CPR/First Aid class has been rescheduled for Tues., 5/12 in room 219 from 3:45 to 7pm.
¨ There will be a sign-up mtg. for all girls interested in playing field hockey next fall in Caf 1 on Wed., 5/13 @ 3:30.
¨ Prom tickets for “Starry Night” go on sale for upper classmen 5/4 during lunch & will be available all week. Cost is $25 per person for Prom & $30 per person for dinner & Prom. Mon., 5/11 & Tues., 5/12 underclassmen may buy tickets as well. Tickets will remain available through Thurs., 5/14 but will no longer include the dinner option after 5/12 as the dinner head count is due by 5/12.
¨ There is info in Guidance on the Miss VT Teen USA pageant for young women ages 14-18. 6/1 deadline for app. See Peg if you are interested.
2. Scholarship Info:
¨ The Vermont Funeral Directors Association Scholarship - Four (4) $500 scholarships for students who, by furthering their education, show a strong commitment to serving families in times of difficulty. Applications must be received by 5/15.
