1. class and club ANNOUNCEMENTS/meetings:
¨      Anyone interested in the Alpine Ski team this year, pls. sign up on the front counter in the main office & attend a mtg. in Caf 1 Fri., 9/1 @ 3:15.
¨      Fri., 9/1 is picture day for all students & staff.  You do not have to be purchasing a photo package to have your photo taken.  Everyone must have their photo taken for ID purposes.  Also, a reminder that this photo ID also serves as your library card.
¨      The German Exchange is currently accepting applications for the 06-07 exchange.  You must be a sophomore, have a 2.5 GPA, be a student in good standing & be willing to host a German student in your home from 10/4-10/20.  As a participant you would go to Germany & live with a German family from 2/21-3/10.  You would miss 6 school days.  If you are interested and think that you would be a good ambassador, stop by rm. 114 to pick up your application form &policy statement.  Return the completed applications with two teacher recommendations by 9/5 to rm. 114.  Interviews for selecting one participant & three alternates will begin on 9/7 @ 3:15 PM in rm. 115.  See Mme Sorrel if you have questions.
¨      The DREAM Project is currently accepting applications for the February 07 trip to the Dominican Republic.  This service-learning experience will take place over Feb. break, & you will miss two days of school.  If you are interested in applying see Ms. Rickerby for an application.  Applications are due on 9/13.
¨      Attn. dance class students:  The 1st class will meet Wed., 9/6 @ 12:20 (Period 5A class).  Students should be dressed in appropriate clothes & ready to go.  Students should eat “A” lunch before class.
The French Club will have its 1st mtg. Tues., 9/5 @ 3:15 in rm. 115.  All are invited to participate & help discuss this year’s agenda.  If you’d like to go to Montreal or Quebec City, visit local French venues or take in a funny foreign film, come join us in French Club & help plan this fall’s events.
